Haverhill Clubhouse recognizes the powerful role that artistic expression can play in a person’s recovery.
Whether formally trained, self-taught, or new to the arts, members may access ongoing art projects, skills training in use of art materials, and assistance with facilitating the creative process. Haverhill Clubhouse can help a member to develop themselves as a professional artist, or to use creative expression as a therapeutic means to support their recovery.
Through the Club, a member may gain access to studio workspace, art supplies, and peer support. By participating in community and on-site gallery exhibits, a member may showcase their artwork with the support of Haverhill Clubhouse, learning the curatorial process, as well as how to present, market, and sell their work. An artist reception accompanies each exhibit celebrating the talented artists and offering a cultural event to enrich the Clubhouse and local community.
Members and staff of the studio support each other in the development of an art portfolio, as well as networking with other artists in the community. We encourage artists to share their talents by leading workshops, demonstrations, and instruction for other members of the Club. In addition, Haverhill Clubhouse helps members to research and link to art education opportunities, arts-based training, and employment.
